The Commissioner would like the business delegation to include companies from all EU Member States, in particular SMEs with credible export capacity, as well as larger companies and European and national producers’ associations from key sectors offering the greatest potential for EU trade and cooperation with Mexico. Senior level representatives, particularly from individual companies (as a priority), as well as producers’ organisations, are welcome to take part.
Representatives taking part in this mission should represent - particularly, though not exclusively - the following sectors:
• meat (beef, pork and poultry),
• cheese and dairy,
• wine,
• beer,
• spirit drinks with a protected geographical indication,
• olive oil,
• fruit and vegetables,
• as well as processed agricultural products, including confectionery.
This visit will combine the Commissioner’s official meetings with the relevant governmental counterparts, and promotion activities involving the business delegation. These activities will include seminars on local market characteristics and consumer trends, retail and site visits, networking opportunities. The mission also includes a high-level event at which the Commissioner will deliver a keynote speech and to which business delegates will be invited to attend.
Participants are expected to attend the full programme.
